Adobe Photoshop is full of tricks and can accomplish most tasks in assorted different ways. That's why this is not a "how-to-do-it" lesson but rather a "how-I-do-it" feature.

It's a procedure I have arrived at by trial and error since I began using pixels instead of paints to turn my black-&-white drawings into color ones. These steps only scratch the surface of what is possible, but if you can scan artwork and have Photoshop in your computer, they will get you started.
