   i check out yr site occasionally & was delighted to meet squirrely & earl, née topsy & bottom! the timing was extra-special fortuitous, as i was thinking about asking you whether you had a comic we could run in BIRMINGHAM WEEKLY. wouldn’t it be grand to have an audience in yr hometown again? wouldn’t it? wouldn’t it?
   wouldn’t you love to help a desperate editor, particularly one who happens to be the only female offspring of a dearly departed pal?
   (forgive me for conjuring ghosts, but my freelance budget is so small that i’m liable to resort to anything…)
