| Evelyn left us this evening. She’s been very sick and it was time. We’re glad we have some really great smiles (see my previous blog entry) to remember her final days by.
She’ll be laid to rest next to Harold in Florida. Eddie and I will be flying to West Palm Beach tomorrow or Wednesday to prepare for her funeral on Thursday. More news later. |

Eddie, I just learned from Howie today of your mother’s dying. You guys did it right: you gave her a life by letting her be a part of yours. I’m certainly grateful to her for giving birth to you–the world needed you. And still does. You are my family, and I love you. Vicki
I’m sorry to hear about your and Eddie’s loss. Take care and keep your sense of humor. I found it helpful when my live-in mother-in-law died unexpectedly a couple of years ago.
Howie and Ed,
I just found out about Eddie’s mom. Your generosity of home and spirit was such a gift to her at the end of her life. She must have felt so happy and blessed to be with you all. Jason and I send you both heaps of love. Nick
Howard, Please pass on our condolences to Eddie.
Chris and I enjoyed the pictures of Evelyn and the restructuring of the house
we saw when we stayed there. (and of Lulu!)
You are all in our thoughts. Be well.
Please accept our condolences. L and I loved have dinner w/you, Ed, Ev, Lulu — she was great and we’ll miss her. Best to you and Ed.
I’m so sorry for your and Ed’s loss. Please take care of yourselves.
I’m sorry for your and Eddie’s loss…and so glad you had Evelyn in your life.
My condolences to you and Ed. Clearly she was a delightful lady and was blessed with both of you. My thoughts are with you.
Ed and Howard. We are so sorry about your loss. It was so special to have
met Evelyn. Having known her lets us see why her son Ed is such a caring, involved person.
Sorry for your loss, Howard. Take care.
Howard, sorry to hear it – at least she spent recent times in a loving environment. My condolences to you and especially to Ed.
I’m so sorry to hear this! You and Ed will be in my thoughts.
